If a tree falls in the forest...
Weather remains beyond the reach of Web 2.0 but ignorance is an addressable problem. This project aims to illustrate an auction -- in considerable detail -- with no up-front drudgery for the auctioneer. Indeed, the savvy auctioneer and her client can send out a few wage-slaves to wrestle with the reality of the boxes, tables, wagons and packing, while the auctioneer/client can evaluate and set minimum prices in the climate controlled comfort of home half-way across the country.
Illustration is crucial, of course; how else will the buyers know what's on the bill since so few people actually read anymore. Auctioncam makes attaching photo(s) to individual sale bill entries as easy as clicking "save". Even a trained chimpanzee can click a mouse button.
In the field, a pair of information workers can process items faster than Lucy and Ethel on a candy kitchen assembly line. When assisted by people to fetch items, the only bottleneck is typing speed and verbosity of the descriptions. And if that's a problem, just add another computer/camera outfit to the team. Problem solved.
