sigh. another odd idea.

Notary as in trustworthy authority.

Proxy as in we'll host your originals. Or maybe just an original reference document plus a checksum via the public API.

Together they provide a badge of certitude that this is the original check-summed image that was first provided to N.P. at a certain time.
